The Societies Extra Fund exists to enable any society to run activities or purchase essential equipment. This means you can apply for funds which will help your society event break even, or for funds to buy or replace equipment.
There is a £250 limit to how much you can apply for, but bear in mind that the Fund is there to support over 280 societies!
Need help filling out the application form? Click here to read our 'How to apply for SEF' guide, or click here to view a sample application form.
Complete this form and submit it online. The Societies Committee, (who meet regularly during semesters) will consider your application. Following this you will be informed of whether the funding has been allocated, which may be all the money requested, part of it or none of it. You will also be informed of any other resources that the Students' Union has for you to use.
Any queries please contact Societies Committee at societiescommittee@sheffield.ac.uk or alternatively come along to Society Surgery which is held EVERY Wednesday from 1-2 in the Activities & Sports Zone!
