Welcome to the East Asian Studies Society at the Students' Union!

Whether you're studying Japanese, Korean or Chinese or East Asia in general; whether you're a fresher, postgrad or exchange student, we welcome you warmly to the School of East Asian Studies departmental society.

East Asian Studies Society exists to provide you with support, learning and work experience opportunities as well as chances to get to know fellow students from across the department. We all share a common passion after all!

East Asian Studies Society launched in spring 2012 and we are full of ideas and ambition. We hope to bring to you tons of events such as research talks by our beloved professors, module tasters, work experience opportunities, film screenings, book swaps, art workshops and much more!
