About us: We play chess each week in a friendly, cozy atmosphere. Anyone can join us, there's no minimum chess level required.

You are welcomed if you've never played before and want to explore the beautiful world of chess!

Those who want to test themselves against tougher opponents can play in one of our 2 Sheffield District League teams, which are waiting for your contribution! 

Club Nights: The social club meets every Wednesday at 8pm in the Students' Union. More information about the society, the teams and our activities can be found on our website: http://www.chess.union.shef.ac.uk/

Cost: You can join us and play for free, but if you want to be a regular you'll have to pay the minimum 3£/year.
