Faiths Forum

If you are unaware of what the Faith Forums are all about, it is held once a term at the Chaplaincy and discuss wider inter-faith work and organise trips and have good food!

Faiths Forum is made up of representative from all of the Students’ Union faith societies, members of the University´s multi-faith Chaplaincy team, and members of the Union of Students. It was established in 2008.

We meet regularly during term time with the following aims:

  • to work together within the University and the Students’ Union
  • to organise multi-faith events
  • to highlight important events and activities relating to faith
  • to improve awareness of faith in the University
  • to give a voice to all of the student faith societies
  • to utilise the skills and experience of the various student faith groups and to appreciate the value of our diversity

So what is the Faiths Forum planning this year 2010/2011?

We have a £5,000 pot of money to spend on inter-faith work – amazing!

Why Not Read the Past Minutes of the Faiths Forum from 2010/2011 academic year to see the ideas we have generated for the money!

We will be continuing visits to different places of worship, setting up a volunteering project and co-ordinating inter-wait week 2010!
