This is the 'Document Guides' Section of the Students' Union HEAR webpage.
Here you will find three guides to help you with the task of writing a reflective account, producing a short portfolio and writing a handover document. (You will also find the 'Careers Service Definition of Skills List' which you will need to complete Section Two of the reflective account).
Producing a reflective account OR short portfolio OR (if applicable to your role) handover document is a compulsory task in order to gain recognition in Section 6.1 (the extra-curricular section) of your Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR) for your commitment to all of the roles listed below.
You will see this sign - (H) - next to the roles for which you can submit a handover document.
With the exception of Sports Club Committee Positions *, all roles can choose which type of document they submit. Remember you only need to complete ONE type of document as part of the HEAR completion criteria.
* Sports Club Committee Positions ONLY. All Sports Club Committee Members MUST submit a handover document.
If your role is not on the list below (and it is a role being recognised on the HEAR), you do not need to produce a document of any kind to gain HEAR 6.1 recognition.
Please go to the Verifiable Activities Search or read the relevant Role Guide to view the HEAR completion criteria for your role, or to find out if your role is being recognised on the HEAR.
Please do not submit a document if you do not wish to receive recognition for your role in Section 6.1 of your HEAR.
If you choose to produce a reflective account or a handover document, once you have read the relevant guide you can submit your document on the Document Submission page.
Please submit your portfolio according to the guidelines stated in the 'How to produce a Short Portfolio' Guide.
If you have any questions about any of these guides, please email the HEAR Project Assistant, Megan, at megan.howlett@sheffield.ac.uk or ask in the Activities and Sports Zone on Level 3 of the Students' Union.
