Eat Well + Sleep Well = Work Well
Eat Well
It is really tempting to eat lots of sweets and biscuits when revising but saving time by snacking on rubbish won’t help you work effectively. Make time to stock up on some brain food and cook yourself a hearty meal. Better still, get together with friends to share the cooking and washing up.
Bread, pasta and rice all release energy slowly which will help you to work well for longer.
Make sure you eat well before your exams.
To help you out we have included some easy and tasty recipes for you to try!
Sleep Well
A good night’s sleep will recharge your brain.
Sleep is vitally important when you are revising. Worrying about exams can make sleeping well more difficult.
Try to get into a routine of going to bed and getting up at the same time each day. Keep the area where you work separate from where you sleep – so don’t revise in bed!
Avoid booze and caffeine before bed
Don’t go straight from your desk to your bed - try doing something to wind down first.
But resist reaching for a cup of coffee or glass of wine. Alcohol and caffeine can both stop you getting a good night's sleep, and lack of sleep will make it much harder to revise well the next day.
