Love Where You Live

On Saturday 7th Nov (12pm to 4pm), SheffieldVolunteering is inviting residents on Harcourt Road to get together, and give their neighbourhood a bit more colour!

Known as the Love where you live project, we'll be planting up flower
tubs, painting wheelie bin murals and generally giving the streets some
TLC. Tools, resources and staff are available on the day to make the
task run like clockwork, refreshments will be provided too. All materials are provided for free!

We ran a similar project on Harcourt Road two years a go and had a
really good day with families, children and students all getting stuck
in together and getting to know each other (you never know when you
might need an invite to Sunday lunch or to borrow a bowl of sugar!).

There is a serious side too, which is that the more 'cared for' a street
looks the less likely it is to attract problems like burglaries, fly
tipping etc.

How to get involved:

1. Send us an email, with your house number, names of who will be involved on the day, a phone number to contact you and if you need a planter or paints or a front garden tidy (or all 3)!
2. Sign up online at www.portal.sheffieldvolunteering.info 
3. Do this by Wednesday 4th Nov (so we have time to buy materials)!
