Judo is one of the world's most widely practised martial arts or combat sports and showcases breathtaking throws (tachi-waza) and ground fighting techniques (ne-waza). It was invented in Japan in the late 19th century and has been an Olympic sport since 1964. In this session you will be shown important falling techniques then go on to learning a few basic throws and ground techniques which you will then be able to try out with each other and more experienced Judo players during free practise (randori). It will also include a Judo based warm up including a few games which encourage agility and speed and give a great cardiovascular workout.
