BIDBI Residences Collections*

What is BIDBI Residences Collections?

Working with local charities we're collecting your good reusable items for good causes. All your items will either go straight to local homeless and disadvantaged people or will help raise money for good causes.

Last year's residents donated over a ton of unwanted items, and we're hoping that the class of 2013 can beat that total!

When & Where is the BIDBI Residences Collections Happening?

From Monday 27th May to Sunday 7th July 2012, there'll be eleven collection points. These will consist of large wheelie bins clearly labeled with "Bring It Don't Bin It" signs, and separate bins for crockery/cutlery. We've produced a map showing all of them, here:

Clear Sacks

You can use the BIDBI "Clear Sacks" we've made, to put your items in and keep them together. Pick up a clear sack or two from The Edge reception, the Ridge reception, Property with US, Student Advice Centre, or Students' Union Welcome Desk.

What items can I donate?

  • Clothes & shoes, bags
  • Kitchenware (e.g. cutlery, pans, plates etc)
  • Books, CDs, DVDs & video games
  • Textiles (e.g duvets, duvet covers, towels)
  • Jewellery
  • Small working electrical items (e.g lamps, toasters)*
  • Small items of furniture
  • Other small household items suitable for resale (e.g. ornaments, picture frames etc)
  • Unopened dried/tinned food

We can not take...

TVs, general waste/general recycling, opened toiletries/opened or perishable food

*Only at the Edge, Ridge & Students' Union.
