How Are We Doing It?
Our Environmental Code of Practice spells out our targets and how we do what we do for recycling, reducing waste and saving energy and carbon.
Recycling & Waste
- Working with the University to send our general waste to a separation facility, meaning 80% of our waste is recycled or recovered.
- Finding new homes for old things.
- Waste Disposal and Recycling
Saving Energy
- Motion sensors make sense (see them in the Garden View and Level 4 toilets).
- Our club nights - all new technical lighting we've purchased has been LED.
- All our staff are being good for Flick, our 'Switch Off Fairy'.
