International Students

Sheffield University has a large number of International students from all around the world. Whether you want to meet others from your country, or mix with students from the UK and from other cultures, there are loads of ways to get involved at Sheffield Students’ Union.

Intro Fiesta & International Cultural Evening

Intro Fiesta takes place in October each year to welcome new and existing students back to Sheffield. Everyone is welcome to this fantastic night of live music, face-painting and games, followed by an after-party for all!

International Cultural Evening is another event that takes place later in the year to showcase the best of Sheffield University’s International community. With performances from around the world you can taste a little bit of the globe without leaving the city of Sheffield!

National Societies

Find others from your home country to share your experiences here in Sheffield with, and show other students a bit about your own culture. If you can’t find a society for your country then you can always set one up with a little help from the Union.

There are also societies for every activity you can think of, from Alternative Music to Zoology. Joining a society is one of the best ways to make friends who share your interests and enjoy doing the things you do.
