House Hunting Guide

At some stage in your university life, it is likely that you will need to find somewhere to live in the private sector. We hope that this guide will help you through the house hunting process and give you all the information you need to make the right choices about where to live.

This guide is primarily aimed at single people or groups looking for somewhere to live in the private rented sector, but there is also information for those of you who may prefer to live in University and Partnership Accommodation. If you have specific housing requirements and want advice on other housing options, which are not covered in this guide, please contact the Student Advice Centre, to speak with a specialist adviser on 0114 2228660 or email advice@sheffield.ac.uk.

We also normally have daily drop in advice sessions between 10am and 4pm at the Student Advice Centre in the Students' Union building.
