Opportunities to Develop Your Skills

University is about developing new understanding and discovering more about the world and you as an individual. Much of this goes beyond your chosen subject; it’s the opportunities you take outside of your study that can give that extra boost to your skills and future employability.

At Sheffield Students’ Union you don’t have to venture far to find these opportunities. You could join sports club, get involved in a volunteering project, nominate yourself to become a student representative, or even work for the Students’ Union. Taking part can also be a great way of making new friends and having fun too.

Many activities are accredited through schemes such as the ‘Sheffield Graduate Awards’ and ‘The Higher Education Achievement Report’, so you’ll have even more to show for your time here.
