Senior Events Manager (Interim)

About the job:

An Event Manager with significant experience of nightclub / student entertainment operations is required. This interim role will cover the peak period of entertainment operation for the UK's number 1 Students' Union, including the opening of a large, brand new nightclub venue. This role is critical in driving the successful programming, promotion and operation of the best student events in the UK. The event portfolio includes mainstream / pop club nights; special events; specialist club nights e.g. dubstep / hip-hop / house; work with outside promoters; and in addition, programming and supporting a large late-night bar operation.

This role will be assisted by 3 full time Assistant Event Managers / Event Promoters. Within the department there are also marketing, technical / production and administration / events staff.

This interim position will include handover from the current post-holder. It is anticipated that full time, permanent recruitment will take place for the same / similar role during the interim period. Suitable interim candidates will be welcome to apply for the permanent role at the time of advertising.

Hours: Approx 40 hours per week with additional hours required during peak periods
