From hosting the Shared Planet conference to our annual EEK Week, Sheffield Students’ Union wants to raise awareness of how we can all pitch in to make the ethical choice and to keep the planet from harm.
But it’s not just about letting other people know what they can do – we do our bit too! Last year we were awarded the Silver Sound Impact Award, an environmental accreditation scheme for Students’ Unions, and we’re always aiming to improve.
There are loads of ways you can get involved with ethical and environmental issues around the Union – contact the Union Ethical and Environmental Committee, or the Conservation Volunteering Committee, take a few hours out to do something worthwhile with SheffieldVolunteering, or join the People and Planet Society. Explore this section to find out how else you can do your bit and don't forget to let us know how we're doing.
Everyone can make a difference in the fight against climate change and every little action counts towards a bigger impact. Help Sheffield Students' Union make that impact today by pledging to make some small changes in your own life - taking a shower, cooking for friends, even going to the pub can earn you points! Or if you already do these things, then let us know how brilliant you are... it all makes a difference.
