In May 2014 the One World Ambassadors got creative with their One World Mandala event.

Based on a Tibetan Buddhist tradition, a sand mandala is a 5ft x 5ft square piece of art made entirely out of sand.

Our design featured the Students' Union logo, One World logo and University name as well as lots of other colourful and symbolic elements.

It took over 6 hours to create with the help of many students but was 'destroyed' soon afterwards in keeping with the Buddhist practice.

The sand was then donated to the SU Nursery.
