Policy on International Visits

On 13th January 2009, the University Executive Board endorsed an agreement that international trips should be undertaken with six key objectives in mind, as follows:

1. Research collaboration
2. Student exchange
3. Staff exchange
4. Student recruitment
5. Government links
6. Alumni relations

Overseas visits by UEB members on behalf of the University should meet several if not all of these objectives. Reports on trips will then be produced for the Vice-Chancellor and UEB members, although these will not always be published where details of the visits may be commercially sensitive.
