Work Experience

The University's Careers Service provides a comprehensive range of careers support for students, including jobs and work experience vacancies, advice on career planning, and help with applications and interviews.

While we don't necessarily require you to have work experience to be offered a place on the course (dependent on your academic achievements), we certainly encourage it and, further, many employers see it as a requirement in the competitive job market. Work experience is offered by both large international firms and smaller employers alike. From time to time we post details here of work experience schemes:

The Property Training Forum has produced a comprehensive guide to employment opportunities across the largest employers in the sector. "Careers in Property 2013" is available for download using the link to the right. Many of the employers also offer work experience and/or summer placements schemes, so it's worthwhile looking on their web sites. Some also include details through TARGETjobs and RICSrecruit
