A course jointly delivered with the School of Architecture, University of Sheffield and accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute as a Specialist Planning Programme. Our innovative one-year masters will help you get started in a career in the planning profession, and includes opportunities to study at associated universities in Europe and the Global South. You'll develop knowledge of the factors that shape cities and rural areas, along with research, policy making and design skills, an understanding of the application of research in public policy-making and evaluation, and a deeper knowledge of a selected specialist aspect of planning. |

Key Features of the Programme

Admissions criteriaAll applications are treated individually. The usual entry requirement is a 2:1 degree or evidence of equivalent achievement (for example, a professional qualification combined with work experience). Applications are also welcomed from candidates with a 2:2 degree, although evidence of work experience or other activity is generally expected.
