Lecturer post in Town and Regional Planning - closing date 20 June 08

We are currently seeking applications of the post of Lecturer. The appointee will work in an interdisciplinary environment characterised by critical engagement at the interface of social scientific theory and policy, and a concern with justice, whether social, environmental or spatial. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a proven commitment to international research excellence (or show potential to achieve such excellence) in one or more of the following themes: values in planning; planning ideas, practices and policy frameworks; the making of places; government practices and governance; economies, markets and the state, or spatial knowledge and analyses. The postholder will contribute to teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and to the supervision of doctoral students. Candidates should have or be working towards a PhD in a relevant subject area (or have equivalent experience) and have proven teaching ability.

Closing date: 20th June, 2008

Salary: £34,793 - £41,545 per annum with the potential to progress to £46,759
