Welcome to the Transport Services

Transport Services provides vehicle hire services to support teaching and research activities such as Field Trips as well driving activities associated with the day-to-day business of the University.

Vehicles are available through purchase, lease and daily rental to the University.  Transport Services work with departments in supporting them to comply with the necessary legal requirements associated with driving on University business.

Safe and dependable transport is essential to the University. The Transport Services at the University of Sheffield is working to make transport more efficient and effective and keep them safe and secure.

To reduce greenhouse gas and other emissions and be environmentally friendly, we also have two hybrid vehicles on campus!

The university fleet has recently undergone a fleet audit check by the Energy Savings Trust, in our commitment towards a greener planet. The Energy Savings Trust has checked the annual carbon footprint of the UoS. A copy of the report can be found on the right hand side of this page.

Vehicles of the transport department are available through our online booking system. All the information you need are provided on these webpages.  Safety training and information for driving during adverse weather has been provided.
