There are six key areas within the Award, each designed to represent a broad spectrum of activities:
- Enterprise
- Student Jobs and Work Experience
- Volunteering
- Cultural and Social
- Internationalisation
- The University and its Community

However,it is compulsory for all candidates entering the programme that you will have undertaken at least 35 hours of work experience OR volunteering at sometime during your studies. You will be expected to demonstrate your engagement with an activity from FOUR of the six sections on offer before you can submit your Award portfolio in your final year.
You are able to use activities from the start of your university career in order to build up your portfolio. There is a minimum of 150 hours involvement for all four sections and 10 hours minimum for any one section.
