The Assessment Process

The assessment of the Award is undertaken by a portfolio, where you can write about and reflect upon your experiences, outlining any skills developed together with evidence of achievement. To gain the Award, candidates will be expected to:

  • Attend a compulsory introduction session
  • Undertake a least one activity out of four sections of the six sections available
  • Understand that work experience or volunteering are compulsory sections within the award
  • Complete a plan outlining what they intend to do
  • Submit My Assessment Profile" after completion of their activities
  • Submit appropriate supporting evidence of attainment, attendance or number of hours participation where possible, relating to each activity undertaken
  • Submit your completed portfolio in your final year

The portfolio submission date for final year candidates will be 1 pm, 12th April, 2010.

The Sheffield Graduate Award is assessed on a `pass´ or `fail´ basis. Any candidate who makes a submission to The Sheffield Graduate Award can be called for a panel interview to support their portfolios.
