Events and Workshops
Why do people come to the lunchtime teachingcommons lunchtime Teaching Circles and Workshops? Some say it's because the short but informal space sort of functions like the long-lost "tea" or "common" room for them and allows them to have brief but valuable conversations that allow connections to be made they wouldn't otherwise have. Others come only when there is a topic they find directly relevant and feel it will be immediately helpful to their work. They seem to find the teachingcommons emphasis on solutions, being able to direct sessions to your purposes/ask questions and make contacts helpful.
