The teachingcommons@sheffield is a learning and teaching project at the University of Sheffield. It was launched on October 20, 2009. It helps create informal spaces and communities to support and enhance conversations and collaborations about learning and teaching at the University of Sheffield.
One of the main goals of the Project is to make things easier for you: helping people "stop re-inventing the wheel," connecting what they do with each other and creating interdisciplinary teaching and learning networks of good practice within the University.
Initially, the solution seemed to be a database of Case Studies but it soon became clear that a more varied approach was needed. For this reason, the Case Studies Project developed into more than just an online repository of multimedia information. It offers a number of different ways to share what you do and learn about and connect with what other people are doing.
