MATEs FIRST RETREAT
22-23 June 2009

The first retreat for the MATEs Synthetic Biology Network will take place on 22-23 June 2009 at Ringwood Hall Hotel, near Chesterfield (http://www.ringwoodhallhotel.com). The purpose of this first two-day meeting is to share knowledge and develop ideas.
There will be an introduction to the MATEs project and talks introducing participants to the different disciplines involved, for example Microbiology, Tissue Engineering, Synthetic Biology, Biochemistry, Ethics and Public Engagement. Following this there will be group discussion to look at key issues and future plans.
Transportation will be provided from the University on the 22nd and returning on the 23rd, plus accommodation and meals at Ringwood Hall Hotel.
