The country is very safe, with little pollution, and living expenses are cheaper than in the UK. The nightlife is much better than in Sheffield.. Toni Coulson University of Maryland at College Park "There are a lot of tourist sites to visit and museums etc. It was also only 4 hours to New York city so I went there a few times. It’s also very close to Baltimore and Philadelphia. There are a lot of restaurants in DC and there are a few college bars next to the University. During the American football season and Basketball season, we went to a lot of games as the tickets are free for students."

Thomas Lyon University Of Waterloo "I never struggled to find something to do, there's a large mall just outside of town which the free bus will take you to. There's two cinemas, a local pool hall, a local Ski Hill - Chicopee - which is great for a day trip to in winter (I learnt to snowboard whilst there!). If you're looking for things a little further afield then that's no problem - you're in Canada!"

I was also involved in a 5-a-side football team and joined the Golf Society. If you get the chance to join a sports team and go to the Australian University Games then I would definitely recommend it!"

There are several nightclubs and bars, and the local (North Wollongong Hotel) is located just across the road from I-House. I would recommend the beautiful Five Island Brewery, located on City Beach.
