Studying abroad at the University of Sheffield gave me an amazing opportunity not only to experience a completely different school system, but also taste British student life outside of the classroom.
Although outside study time commitment maybe something to get used to, classes provide a constructive time to share ideas with both your professor and classmates. Professors are very willing to communicate with students getting used to university life in another country.
The Give-it-a-go program provided by the student union was one of the best things offered at Sheffield. Day trips to various cities all over the UK provide an opportunity for foreigners to see as much of the country as possible during what seems like such a short stay in Sheffield.
When it was time for me to complete my final exams and pack up I was sad to leave the people I had met, my flat I had grown attached to, and even the many walks I took to class, the union and the grocery store!
