Why did you choose Sheffield?

It was one of the top universities in the UK, with degrees in my field. It was in an English speaking country.

What did you do for fun/ at weekends?

I did day trips travelling around England, I hung out with my housemates or I visited friends/family nearby

How does the workload/classes/teaching styles vary to back at home?

The workload is much much less than what I was used to , although the lectures and teaching style were formatted the same. There were no labs though, which was very unusual for me as I am used to 3 a week. The exams are very short, and the assignments few, but that was fine with me!

Describe Sheffield in a short paragraph

Sheffield is a great place to live. It is clean, safe, a nice looking place, the people are friendly and there´s heaps to do.

If you could give advice to a prospective student thinking of choosing Sheffield, what would you say?

I would seriously consider Sheffield, the classes are organised and interesting, the lecturers know their field well, and the facilities available are good.

Could you give any advice or tips to a student preparing to come to Sheffield or tell them anything you wished you knew in advance.

Make sure you know where all of your classes are in relation to your accommodation, as the university is very spread compared to Australia.
