University of Sheffield in America Study Abroad Scholarships 2009/10

We are delighted to offer a number of Study Abroad scholarships for American students studying at the University of Sheffield during the academic year 2009/10.

There will be two scholarship of a £1,000 for two student coming for a full year of study, four scholarships of £500 each for students coming for the fall semester and four scholarships of £500 each for students coming for the spring semester.

Any American national accepting a place at the University of Sheffield is eligible to apply.

There are some external scholarships and awards available for people taking part on the Study Abroad Programme at Sheffield.

You should contact your Study Abroad/International Office at your home university to find out if there are any scholarships/grants that you can apply for.

You should also consult your Govenment website as there may also be further information on their site.

Gilman International Scholarship - US students only

820 scholarships of up to $5,000 will be awarded this academic year for U.S. citizen undergraduates to study abroad.

Award amounts will vary depending on the length of study and student need with the average award being $4,000.

Undergraduate students who are receiving federal Pell Grant funding at 2-year or 4-year colleges or universities are eligible to apply.

The BUTEX Scholarship For North American Students

BUTEX is pleased to offer eight scholarships for undergraduate students currently registered at an institution in the USA or Canada.

To be eligible to apply you must have been offered a place as a study abroad or exchange student at the University of Sheffield.

The DUO-Singapore Exchange Fellowship Award - National University of Singapore

The Award is based on merit and a student will be awarded a maximum of 4,000 Euros which covers airfare, accommodation and living expenses.
