Jack Kushner, MD was Sheffield’s first Study Abroad student from the States in 1959. He remembers how dramatically it affected his life, and is now a regular supporter of the University of Sheffield in America Alumni Fund.
“Spending a year in Sheffield, England profoundly affected my view of the world. I came from a segregated society in Alabama, so mixing so widely with people from different backgrounds gave me a whole new perspective to take back home.”
