The University of Sheffield
Study Abroad

Examinations

Study Abroad Programme students are assessed in the same way as any other University of Sheffield student.

Examinations normally consist of a written or practical test to be completed within a set period of time (e.g. two or three hours). They are held in strict silence and invigilated by University staff.

Some courses are assessed by essay only. Make sure you find out when the final day for submitting your essay is as soon as you can.

How can I find out when my exam is taking place?

You should check the examination timetable on a regular basis.

Exams can change at the last minute, so ensure you check very carefully.
