Making a formal complaint

If you have tried to resolve the problem, but the harassment and/or bullying persists, or if you do not feel that you can deal with the situation informally then you may decide to make a formal complaint.

If the alleged harasser is another student then you would be required to submit your complaint, in writing, to either the Network Member who you have met or directly to the Harassment and Bullying Network Co-ordinator. The Co-ordinator will then arrange for an investigation to be carried out.

After receiving the investigation report the Network Co-ordinator will arrange for any necassary action to be taken. Where appropriate, this will include action under the relevant Disciplinary procedure.

When a formal complaint is made the alleged harasser will be notified of your complaint; he/she has a right to respond to the claims.

Upon completion of the investigation the Network Co-ordinator will send a formal response to your complaint.

You should send your letter of formal complaint to
