Students who have graduated from the University of Sheffield may send or bring photocopies of their University of Sheffield degree certificate to SSiD to be certified. There are charges associated with this for multiple copies or for students who have graduated more than 12 months ago.
If you find that you wish to change the course that you are on, apply for leave of absence, an extension to your time-limit or notify your withdrawal, you need to complete a change of status form, available from SSiD. This is applicable to all undergraduates and postgraduates on taught courses.
This service is for changing your current and submitting future addresses if you know them in advance. The University needs to be informed of where you want your mail directing. This is your responsibility.
If your name is incorrect on your student record, or has changed, then you need to provide original documents to SSiD in order to have your record changed. It is vital that your name is correct. This is your responsibility.
This can be done only in the first three weeks of each semester. Add/Drop forms are available from your department, Registration Office, Level 6, University House or SSiD. If you do wish add or drop modules after the three week period, then the department will need to supply a letter in support of your application for the change of module(s).
Check your own record and make sure you are registered for the correct modules and that your addresses are correct. The University needs to be informed of where you want your mail directing. This is your responsibility.
If, when checking your University record, there is a discrepancy and you find that you have been incorrectly registered on a module then you need to complete a Module Correction form. These are obtainable from your department or SSiD.
Summary of Results are usually provided on request to students who require evidence of modules studied and grades attained so far in the University but do not want an official transcript (which can take upto 10 working days to produce).
Available from SSiD. Transcripts are provided to students who require evidence of examination results obtained in the University. They are normally used by students to apply for graduate courses or employment.
