We’ll continue to buy as many e-books as we can. Approximately 1500 new e-books have been added to the collection in the past 2 years. However, many text books are not yet available from suppliers in e-book format.
You said that you wanted improved study facilities at Western Bank Library.
We have completed the refurbishment of Western Bank Library and provided group study areas and additional space for laptop users.
You said that you wanted to submit inter-library loan requests online from wherever you are.
In August 2010 we began a trial which offered University staff and postgraduate researchers the opportunity to submit requests for books and documents held outside the University Library via the Library tab in MUSE. The trial has been extended and is currently being evaluated.
You said that students with additional needs, through dyslexia or disability, should be able to borrow books for longer.
