Endcliffe Village

Accommodation and Campus Services

You said that you were less satisfied with University accommodation in general than previously.

  • The Endcliffe Village is now fully open, so last year's concerns over building work and moving accommodation should not have affected you. We hope that changes to the social space, together with the planned programme of organised events and activities, will improve the overall sense of belonging to the community.

You said that University accommodation could offer better value for money.

  • Work is being done to communicate the wider benefits of living in University accommodation, as value for money perceptions may currently be based on price alone. We think that rents which include all bills, internet connection, social, community and welfare support, security, as well as a range of different types of accommodation do genuinely represent value for money (especially compared to the private sector).

You said that we could improve the security of University accommodation.

  • The addition of eleven new Security Patrol staff across the campus and the Endcliffe Village, as well as an additional security vehicle, should help. New students will also receive information and briefings about ensuring their own personal safety and that of their possessions.
