Orientation and Meet and Greet Assistants
Among the services offered to new students at the University of Sheffield are `Meet and Greet at Manchester Airport´ and the Residential Orientation Programme and each year we recruit current students to assist with these services.
Those working as part of the Meet and Greet team will travel to Manchester Airport in order to greet our new students as they arrive in UK and travel with them to Sheffield on coaches hired by the University.
Orientation Assistants help with the programme of events that make up our week long Residential Orientation Programme. These events include day trips, campus tours, a quiz night and a formal dinner.
For both Meet and Greet and Orientation our teams work to rotas and are required to stay in University accommodation. These posts are always popular with current students and many great friendships are made both with fellow assistants and new students.
