Become a Sheffield Mentor for a new student
Getting involved in Sheffield Mentors as a Mentor or a Mentee is a great way to get to know the university, make friends, increase your confidence, improve your CV and become part of an evolving and exciting scheme.
The aim of the Scheme is to help make the transition to university as smooth as possible for our new students. In participating departments, when our new undergraduates know that they are coming to Sheffield, they are offered the opportunity to be matched with a current undergraduate student from the same department who has been trained as a mentor. Mentors are a friendly face for their mentees, and are willing to help new students settle in by answering their questions and giving their advice.
