More ... Music Concert Series
The Department of Music organises a series of evening and lunchtime classical music concerts throughout the academic year, all during term time. Evening concerts are on Tuesdays at Firth Hall (7:30pm) and offer students the opportunity to experience high quality music from a mix of professional artists and University ensembles. Tickets are discounted to £2.50 for students, which include a glass of wine in the interval. Lunchtime concerts are on Thursdays at the University Drama Studio (1:10pm) and are informal recitals where audience members can arrive and leave between pieces. This is an ideal chance for students to sample new forms of music at their leisure during lunch breaks and the concerts are completely free. Recitals usually feature members of the University, with the occasional visit from professional artists.
