Changing Modules – Module Add / Drop

You may be able to change modules within the first three weeks of each semester.

If you wish to change modules that you registered for at the beginning of the academic year, then you need to complete an Module Add/Drop Form (see downloads box right).

Alternatively, you can follow the instructions below.

Then follow the procedure below:

1. Fill in your personal details, then enter the code, title and credit value of any unit (module) to be dropped from your record for this session and the code, title and credit value of any unit to be added in the appropriate sections.

2. To make a change to units from an approved list you will require a signature from the department responsible for your programme of study.

For unrestricted units you will require a signature from the teaching department.

3. Sign and date the form and obtain a signature of approval from the department responsible for your programme of study.

4. Submit the form to SSiD (the Student Services Information Desk, in the Union of Students´ Building).

5. Your form will be processed and your record corrected.

6. You must check MyRecord through MUSE to make sure you are registered for the correct modules.

Please note that forms are not processed until the start of the semester. Registry Services aims to change your student record within five working days of receipt of correctly completed forms.

Once the module add/drop form has been signed, the change has been authorised, so you can attend classes for the new lecture.

MOLE is managed by individual academic departments so please contact the relevant department if you cannot access teaching materials through MOLE.

It is your responsibility to ensure that your units are correctly recorded.
