How you can access our services:
1. Web Pages
We have developed over 2,000 web pages containing useful and interesting information about many aspects of University life. Many people find the A to Z list a good navigating the site to find the information they need.
2. Ask Sheffield
Ask Sheffield is a high-tech database, filled with frequently asked questions about the University and the city. To use it, an enquirer enters their own question into the system. The software then attempts to understand the context and meaning of the question that has been entered and suggests answers based on what has helped enquirers in the past, while at the same time offering links to related queries.
Find answers to the most commonly asked questions about student related issues using the Ask Sheffield FAQ database:
After searching, if you still have questions one of the team at the Students Services Information Desk (SSiD) will be happy to help.
3. Visit our `0ne-Stop' Shop
Our office on Level 3 of the Union of Students building is open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday all year round*. Here you can ask questions, use the computers to view our web pages and pick up useful forms and leaflets.
