Supporting/Recruiting Students

The Student Services Department are providing two staff support programmes in the 2010-11 academic year:

Supporting the Supporters

"Supporting the Supporters" is a programme of support and development for staff across the University who have responsibilities relating to student support and student administration.

Academic departments will have received copies of the "Supporting our Students" guide and contacts poster which form one element of this programme in Summer 2010.

A "Supporting the Supporters" staff development programme is continuing to run in 2010-11.

Recruitment Matters

"Recruitment Matters" is a new programme modelled on the concept of "Supporting the Supporters". This will provide networking and support opportunities for staff involved in student recruitment and admissions issues.

Copies of a new booklet "Recruiting our Students" will also have been distributed to academic departments. This was accompanied by information on a "Recruitment Matters" week to kick-start the new programme in early October.
