Corporate Information Enquiry System (CIES)

The Corporate Information Enquiry System (CIES) provides an alternative, and more user-friendly, means of accessing certain key items of data held on the corporate record within CIS. This system includes an individual `student profile´, which is similar to (though not as detailed as) the `composite student record´ in CIS. It also provides access to listings of student cohorts by department, by programme, by module and by year/level. For those departments who actively maintain some of their own local data on CIS, it also allows staff to view listings of their Personal Tutees and dissertation students, and where departments are using the Departmental Assessments System (DAS), module assessment component results (i.e. marks for individual coursework, examinations etc.) for students can also be viewed.

CIES is a web based system and thus is accessible from any computer with a web-browser. All staff should have access to CIES via their usual computer username and password, however permission to view student-related data within CIES needs to be approved via Corporate Information Systems contacts in each department.
