Faculty Officers involvement with Student-Related Procedures
Faculty Officers are often involved in a range of student-related administrative functions and formal procedures, e.g.
- Approval of Assessment/Examination Results
- Approval of Special Regulations, Non-Standard Cases etc.
- Student Academic Appeals
- Student Complaints
- Student Progress
- Student Discipline
- Student Fitness to Practise
The Faculty Officers nominated by each Faculty to undertake work associated with the various procedures listed above include the Faculty Directors of Learning & Teaching and in some cases Assistant Faculty Directors of Learning & Teaching.
Faculty Officers are supported in this work by administrative staff within the Taught Programmes Office and Service Quality Unit in Student Services. Staff in academic departments with queries relating to any of the above procedures should contact the relevant Team Leader in the Taught Programmes Office in the first instance, rather than the Faculty Officers.
Various contacts lists are available by clicking on the relevant links in the See Also box on the right.
