Bulletin to Academic Departments - Issue 1 Live
The first edition of the 2010-11 'Bulletin to Academic Departments' for University staff is now online at www.sheffield.ac.uk/ssd/publications/bulletins.html
The bulletin is currently issued four times a year and contains news and updates from the Student Services Department. It is aimed primarily at staff in academic departments but information within previous bulletins has been useful and relevant to staff throughout the University.

Staff Support Programmes from the Student Services Department
There are two staff support programmes coordinated by the Student Services Department which will be available in the new academic year.
"Supporting the Supporters" is a programme of support and development for staff across the University who have responsibilities relating to student support and student administration. Your department will shortly receive copies of a booklet "Supporting our Students" which forms one elementof this programme.
"Recruitment Matters" is a new programme modelled on the concept of Supportingthe Supporters. This will provide networking and support opportunities for staff involved in student recruitment and admissions issues. Copies of a new booklet "Recruiting our Students" will also shortly be distributed to your department. This will be accompanied by information on a "Recruitment Matters" week to kick-start the new programme in early October.
