He has been getting behind with bills and finds that a job is the only way he can cope. He is worried that his academic work is suffering but feels that there is nowhere else to turn for help. Is there anything I could suggest?

Question: A student calls in to the departmental office with a letter he has received from his Student Finance England. It is asking for confirmation of various matters relating to the student's programme of study and his academic progress. Should I ring Student Finance England or write to them on the student's behalf?
