Green Impact
The chaplaincy continually assesses its environmental impact and has achieved a Bronze Award in the university´s Green Impact Scheme.

Believing that the earth is precious and its resources are to be safeguarded, we actively promote green awareness and activity amongst students and staff.
Dr Bike
The majority of chaplaincy staff cycle or walk to work or use public transport. We are big fans of Dr. Bike, a free scheme for simple bike repairs for all staff and students, in Jessop West, every other Tuesday, 8:30am - 1:30pm.
Recycling
- We recycle all paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, tins and cans
- We compost all tea bags, coffee granules, fruit peel and other uncooked organic waste
- We use recycled paper and encourage double-sided printing where possible
- We give used stamps to the RNLI lifeboat charity
- We recycle all toner cartridges
The Building
- We are putting new initiatives in place to make sure that we do not use any extra heating or lighting
- We are ensuring that everything in the building is adequately shut down for vacation periods
