Chaplaincy for University Staff
The Multifaith Chaplaincy is available for every member of University staff, of any faith or none. We can be found at 344 Glossop Road – ring the bell or come round to the back, where the door is kept unlocked during opening hours. Level access is also via the back door.
You are very welcome to come and participate in any of the services and acts of worship taking place in the Chaplaincy Centre - for details see the link 'Regular Events and Opportunities for Worship' above.
During term time we are open Monday to Thursday, 9:30-5:00, and Friday, 9:30-2:00; a member of the chaplaincy team will be available during that time. The Quiet Room is open (except during scheduled acts of worship) for individual prayer or quiet contemplation. We also have a Common Room, where you can make a cup of tea or coffee and relax during your lunch break (or any time during opening hours).
We can provide a confidential listening ear, on spiritual or other topics, and are available whether or not you are a practising member of any faith. However, our large team covers many of the major world faiths, and can offer support and advice about practising your faith on campus and in Sheffield generally, as well as on how to support students of faith.
