Undergraduate Open Days 2012
All applicants receiving offers for one of our Degree Programmes are invited and encouraged to attend a SOMLAL Open Day. Conditional and unconditional offers are made on the basis of information given on the UCAS application form.
SOMLAL Open Days consist of a general information lecture for all students within SOMLAL as well as specific sessions within the separate language departments. You will get the chance to meet staff and current students, and to see first hand the facilities offered at the University.
Our Open Days will take place in February and March 2012:
- 8 February 2012: Degree programmes within the School of Modern Languages(e.g. Single Honours French, Dual Honours German/Spanish, BA Modern Languages)
- 22 February 2012: Dual Degree programmes involving Arts and Social Sciences (e.g. English/French,Russian/Politics)
- 7 March 2012: Degree programmes within the School of Modern Languages (e.g. Single Honours French, Dual Honours German/Spanish, BA Modern Languages)
- 21 March 2012: BA Modern Languages and all other degree combinations involving languages.

N.B. If you are unable to attend the Open Day specific to your course, we will try to arrange for you to come to one of the others.

University Open Days
The University holds general Open Days, including tours of the campus. These visits will take place in the summer and they are open to all potential applicants. You will get the opportunity to find out more about the University and life in Sheffield and attend a SOMLAL specific information lecture.
