MA Sociology

MA Global and International Social Policy

This course is an excellent choice for those looking for careers in global social policy analysis or those already following similar professional routes.

MA Social Research

Focused on equipping students with the ability to design and carry out research at the highest level, in both quantitative and qualitative methods. The course covers a breadth of areas in contemporary sociology and the study of social life and relations. The course is suited to those looking to study at PhD level or those interested in pursuing a career in research.

MA Social Work

This course is specifically directed at those wishing to begin a career in social work. Upon completion of the course graduates are eligible for registration as a qualified UK social worker. Professionally accredited this course provides vocational work placements alongside an in depth study programme on the supporting theory and techniques used within social work.

MA Professional Practice with Children and their Families

This course is for professionals, such as qualified child care social workers or those in similar job roles. It is designed to enhance the skills of professionals in dealing with families and children, focusing on the ability to critically assess and understand. The three year course provides a professional qualification at the end of each year.

CPD in Professional Practice with Children and their Families

This course offers the same content as the MA over a more flexible course structure. It allows for professional and qualified practitioners to continue their development over a longer period of time, steadily working towards a qualification over a time period that suits them best. The course allows the choice of up to three modules a year, with each one building towards a qualification.
